The short version
Snoozenix does not collect your personal data. There is no account, no sign-in, no ads and no analytics. Your alarms, missions, streaks and settings stay on your phone, and in your phone's own backup if you have that turned on. The camera, step counter and motion sensors are used only on your phone, while a mission is running, and nothing they see is uploaded. Pro is paid through Google Play or the App Store, and those stores handle your payment under their own privacy policies. The only personal data we ever hold is what you send us if you email support or send us an idea.
1. Who we are
Snoozenix is made and published by InertiaBreak Labs, an independent developer based in the Philippines. Google Play and the App Store show the developer's legal name as the seller. Questions about privacy go to support-snoozenix@inertiabreak.com.
2. What the app stores on your phone
Everything Snoozenix needs lives on your device. It stores:
- your alarms: time, days, sound, volume ramp, snooze setting, chosen missions and wake-up check setting;
- your mission settings, including the difficulty levels you pick;
- for the Photo of a spot mission, the reference photo you take of your spot, kept on your phone so later photos can be matched against it, and never included in backups (section 7);
- any sound file you add as an alarm sound, which also stays on your phone and is never included in backups;
- for the Scan a code mission, the text of the QR code you register;
- your progress: streaks, mornings won, how long each mission took, emergency stops and missed alarms;
- app settings, test-alarm results and which permissions are on.
We never receive this data. It stays on your phone, and in your phone's own backup if you have that turned on (section 7). We have no server that receives it.
3. What we do not do
- We do not collect, upload, sell or share personal data.
- We do not create accounts or ask for your name, email or phone number.
- We do not show ads and we use no advertising SDK.
- We do not use analytics or crash-reporting services.
- We do not use your location.
- We do not read your photo library, contacts, microphone or messages.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
4. Camera, motion and step data
Some missions use your phone's sensors. All of this happens on the device, in memory, while the mission is running:
- Camera (Squats, Photo of a spot, Scan a code). The camera counts your squats, matches your wake-up photo to your reference photo, or reads a QR code. Live video is processed on the phone and is not recorded, saved or uploaded. The only image kept is the reference photo you choose to take for the Photo of a spot mission, stored on your phone and left out of backups. You always see the camera view while the camera is on.
- Physical activity on Android, Motion & Fitness on iPhone (Steps mission). The step count comes from your phone's step sensor and is used only to finish the mission. It is not kept after the mission, except as "mission done".
- Shake uses the accelerometer, which needs no permission, and stores nothing.
- Math, Type a phrase, Memory, Word scramble, Order the numbers and Repeat the rhythm use no sensors. Repeat the rhythm plays a beat and you tap it back on the screen; it does not use the microphone. None of them stores anything beyond "mission done".
You can turn each permission off in your phone's settings at any time. If you do, the alarm still works with missions that do not need that permission.
5. Notifications and alarms
Snoozenix schedules alarms and notifications on your phone itself. We do not use a push-notification service, so no notification passes through our systems or any third party. On iPhone, alarms are scheduled through Apple's AlarmKit, and the ringing screen is shown by iOS.
6. Payments for Pro
Snoozenix Pro is sold only through Google Play on Android and the App Store on iPhone. The store takes your payment, runs the 3-day free trial, renews or cancels the subscription, and handles refunds. We never see your card, GCash, Maya or bank details. The app only receives from the store a confirmation that Pro is active for the Google or Apple account on that phone, so it can unlock Pro features and let you restore them on a new phone.
How the stores use your data is described in their own policies:
- Google Play: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Apple App Store: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
7. Backups made by your phone
If your phone's own backup is turned on (Google backup on Android, iCloud backup on iPhone), it includes your Snoozenix alarms, settings, streaks and history, so they come back on a new phone. It never includes your Photo of a spot reference photos or any sound files you added: those stay only on the phone where you made them, and on a new phone the app asks you to take the photo again. That backup is yours, is controlled by your phone's settings, and is governed by Google's or Apple's privacy policy, not ours. Snoozenix runs no backup of its own.
8. Internet use
Snoozenix works without an internet connection. The only network use is by the Google Play or App Store billing component when you buy, restore or check a Pro subscription.
9. If you email us
If you write to support-snoozenix@inertiabreak.com, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you tell us, such as your phone model. We use it only to answer you, we do not add it to any list, and we delete the thread within 12 months of the last message unless we need it for a dispute. You may ask us to delete it sooner. Support and idea emails (section 10) are the only personal data we hold about anyone.
10. If you send us an idea
If you email an idea to ideas-snoozenix@inertiabreak.com, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and the idea. We may publish the idea on our public Ideas page, rewritten in our own words, with no name, no email and nothing that identifies you. We keep a count of how many people asked for each idea; that count is a number only. We keep idea emails for up to 24 months so we can tell you if we build it, then delete them. To have your email deleted, or an idea taken off the page, write to ideas-snoozenix@inertiabreak.com or support-snoozenix@inertiabreak.com and we will do it within 15 days. Idea and support emails are the only personal data we hold about anyone.
11. Deleting your data
Because your data lives only on your phone, you delete it by deleting the app or clearing its data. Step-by-step instructions are on our Data deletion page: /delete-my-data. We hold no copy to delete. Purchase records held by Google or Apple are handled by them.
12. Children
Snoozenix is not directed at children under 13. Pro purchases are made through your Google or Apple account, and each store has its own rules for purchases by minors. In the Philippines you are a minor until 18. If you are under 18, use Snoozenix with a parent's or guardian's permission.
13. Your rights
Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 you have the right to be informed, to access, to correct, and to have personal data about you erased, and to complain to the National Privacy Commission (https://privacy.gov.ph). Because the app sends us nothing, the only data we could hold is a support or idea email (sections 9 and 10). Write to support-snoozenix@inertiabreak.com and we will answer within 15 days.
14. Security
Your data stays inside the app's private storage on your phone, protected by your phone's own lock and encryption. Keep your phone's lock on. We cannot recover data from a lost or reset phone.
15. Changes to this policy
If we ever change what the app does with data, for example by adding a crash-reporting tool, we will update this page, change the date at the top, and update the privacy forms on Google Play and the App Store before the change ships.
